The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has issued a resolution emphasizing the need to support the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan, including the right to work and education.
The member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Sunday (5 May) in a resolution emphasized the need to support the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan, including the right to work and education, and called on the caretaker government of Afghanistan to form a comprehensive government to achieve stable stability in Afghanistan.
According to this resolution, which was approved in the 15th meeting of the heads of Islamic countries, the member countries of this organization demanded full respect for the human rights of the people of Afghanistan.
The resolution states: “They emphasized the importance of full respect for the human rights of all Afghans and the need to protect the fundamental rights of Afghan girls and women, especially the right to education, study and work, and called for further discussions with the Afghan authorities on these issues. became
Based on the resolution, the representatives of the Islamic countries assured their support for a peaceful, stable, prosperous and inclusive Afghanistan, and the members of this council wanted to address the problems faced by the Afghan people, including humanitarian challenges, human rights and social issues.
This two-day meeting was held in the city of Banjul, Republic of Gambia, on the 15th and 16th of April.
Meanwhile, the Taliban government had asked the representative of this organization for Afghanistan to participate in this meeting.
Although the Taliban group announced that Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of their foreign ministry, participated in this meeting on behalf of Afghanistan, but; It can be seen that the demands of Islamic countries to ensure the human rights of people, especially women and girls, are still standing.
Previously, the Taliban group had said in a newsletter that the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of this group, had demanded to ensure the education and work rights of girls and women in Afghanistan; But the Taliban deleted this part of the newsletter after a few hours.
