Ten months ago, the Taliban’s took control of Afghanistan. They closed girls’ schools beyond grade six across the country. Millions of schoolgirls are sitting at home now, deprived of education rights.

The Taliban does not give a clear and logical reason for closing girls’ schools. Wearing hijab is their only excuse – clothes fully covering the body, including the face. The Taliban has governed for ten months with promises.

The Peace Window Weekly advocates the opening of girls’ schools in Afghanistan.

PWW is inaugurating “the Caravan of Support for Girls’ Education for Peace” campaign through social media messages concerning girls’ rights.

This campaign is planned for three months in collaboration with other peace and human rights organizations under the banner of “The Caravan of Support for Girls’ Education for Peace”.
