The Center of Afghan Journalists has said in a statement that Sultan Ali Javadi, the manager of Nasim private radio in Daikundi province, has been sentenced to one year in prison by the primary court of the Taliban in this province.
Today (Tuesday, December 12) in a newsletter, the Afghan Journalists Center has quoted a local source in Daikundi province as saying that yesterday the primary court of the Taliban sentenced Sultan Ali Javadi to one year in prison.
According to this organization, Sultan Ali Javadi’s wife was also present in this meeting, which was held in private. It is said that Javadi was transferred to prison after the verdict was announced.
The Taliban have not said anything about this until now; However, the Center of Afghan Journalists quoted sources as saying that Sultan Ali Javadi was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of “propaganda” against the Taliban and “espionage for foreign countries”.
On the 15th of Mizan, the Taliban called Sultan Ali Javadi, the responsible manager, Mojtaba Ghasemi and Saifullah Rezaei, the reporters of Nasim Radio, to the head of the intelligence of this group and then transferred them to prison.
Mojtaba and Saifullah were released from Taliban prison after two weeks; But Mr. Javadi is still in the prison of this group.
